Hi Folks,
I currently have a file server running ReFS on its data storage. Recently I found a few applications I needed to interact with data on the ReFS drive couldn't, they lacked compatibility. As a temporary workaround I created a VHDX of a NTFS drive which I place on top of the ReFS drive...but this seems suboptimal. I'm wondering how folks are handling file servers?
Do you use ReFS or NTFS (or FAT32 :-))?
It seems like ReFS is ideal for data integrity and redundancy, but NTFS has wider compatibility and there are file permission auditors available, which I haven't found for ReFS.
Thanks!
Dave
