Currently I'm having an issue with Teslacrypt 3.0 which is present on my server. The ransom-ware is slowly changing files to the .mp3 extension. On removing the extension on top of the file reads as corrupted.
An example of this would be a word document. The extension reads .doc.mp3. I've tried scanning with various anti virus programs but none seem to work. I have been doing some research on this new version of Cryptoware and it appears that there is no known solution at this point in time.
With regard to backup which is local as well I'm not sure as to if the virus is dormant on the backup drives. Does anyone else have any issue with this form of ransom-ware?
