Hello
We have been asked to provide a solution to a client with a 2003 R2 File Server. The client wants to stop (and start) file services on demand, without shutdown the server itself.
I thought of setting the file services to manual start, providing the client with two executables, one to stop the file services and one to start them, and have a third to manually start File Services early in the morning, since then they should be up, so the client does not bother to do it himself.
Can you think of another solution?
I remind that this needs to be done _on demand_ meaning when the client wants to do it and not in a timely schedule.
Best regards
